Thinking About Selling Your Arrowhead Collection?

Send us a few photos. We'll tell you what you have, and if it's a fit, we'll talk about buying it. The review is free, and most people hear back within 24 hours.

Maybe you spent a lifetime building your collection. Maybe you inherited it and have no idea what to do with it. Either way, you don't need to know a thing about arrowheads to write to us. That's our job.

I'm John, the owner of Arrowheads.com. I've been buying and valuing artifacts since 2006, and my team and I read every submission ourselves. We look at single standout pieces, specialized groups, and large lifelong collections: arrowheads, spear points, bannerstones, birdstones, gorgets, pendants, axes, celts, discoidals, pipes and pottery.

What to expect from us

  • The review is free. No credit card, no catch.
  • Sending photos doesn't commit you to anything. If you don't like what you hear, say no and keep your collection. We'd even encourage a second opinion.
  • We may be interested in buying collections worth $700 or more. We don't buy every collection in that range, and we'll tell you honestly where yours fits.
  • Worth less than that? We'll still help. We'll tell you what you have and recommend the best way to sell it yourself, or point you to someone who may be interested.
  • Broken or partial pieces, modern reproductions and natural rocks that look like tools aren't something we can buy. If that's what you have, we'll tell you kindly.

Not sure you want to sell? That's fine. Start with our free first look on the appraisals page. We'll tell you what you have, with no pressure to do anything else.

how it works: our simple 3 step process

Assorted ancient stone and metal arrowheads and tools arranged on a white surface with a measuring tape.

Step 1: Take Clear Photos

  • Light. Set your pieces on a plain surface, like a white sheet or table, near a window or a bright lamp. If they're in a glass case, open the lid so there's no glare.
  • Size. Lay a ruler or tape measure right next to them so we can see how big they are.
  • Space. Keep the pieces from overlapping.
  • Please don't clean or polish them. Cleaning can lower the value.
  • Frames and drawers. Write the frame number and a rough count of the pieces on a piece of paper and include it in the photo.
  • Photo size. When your phone asks what size to send, choose Medium or Large. Please skip "Actual Size." Those files are so big that your email often won't go through.

Step 2: Email Your Details Directly to Us

  • Where the collection is now. Just the state is fine.
  • How you came to have it. Whatever you know is great: who found the pieces, where, and when. Family stories and old notes help a lot. If you don't know, that's okay.

Step 3: We Reply, Normally in 24 Hours

A real person will read your photos and write back with what you have. If we're interested in buying, we'll say so and talk it through with you. You decide from there, and saying no is always fine.

If you do want to sell, we'll walk you through the details by email or phone before anything is mailed or paid: how payment works, how shipping works, and, depending on where you live, meeting in person.

our promise to you

  • The first review is free. No credit card, no catch.
  • Your photos stay with us. We don't share them or post them anywhere.
  • No pressure. If you decide not to sell, that's completely fine.
  • We'll be straight with you. What we tell you is our honest opinion based on your photos, not a guarantee. You're always welcome to get a second opinion.
