With the kids having their Spring Break starting this week we decided to head down early to the Peru, Indiana artifact show and do a little hunting along the Wabash River. Finding plowed fields this time of year can be a daunting task! We finally came across a field that had been late fall plowed and decided this was the spot. Upon getting permission to hunt for points by the property owner we donned our boots and headed out... Within the first 20 yards I was seeing lithic scatter all around and just had a feeling that this spot would be a good one ;)
 That's when one of our 9 year old twins came a running my way yelling - I found one - I found one..  No kidding she found one,a beautiful 2 1/2" Snyders laid in her hand and her smile I will never forget. This was Carey's first find and it came only about 15 minutes after she started looking. That of course had all the kids spirits lifted that there were actually arrowheads that could be found!!  Next in line was Courtney who found a damaged Kirk Corner Notched. Than my Wife Jeni found a Kirk Bifurcated. Next was me with a  thin Madison Triangle. As the day went on eventually everyone found some. My other Twin Casey found a nice Flint digger. And the following day Carey - the Snyders finder found another  nice 3 3/4" Blade....
 We were blessed this weekend with not only nice weather but a great family vacation doing what we love - HUNTING ARTIFACTS!!
