I have been into collecting cool things without really knowing their worth. If it is cool, I buy it sort of thing. My wife Renee' and I use to own a Native American arts and craft supply store, we sold beads, furs, leather, native american artwork, and etc. But sometimes some native people would come into the store with items to trade which we didn't know much about but that it was cool. So that's how we came upon all these cool, unique rocks, pestles, old baskets, carvings, knives and etc.
