I was born February 14, 1970 in Columbus Ohio, but grew up here in Wayne County
Ohio. I spent my teen years at the family farm and am proud to have made the family
business my career. Pine Tree Barn and Farms is a Christmas Tree Farm and retail
shop located just outside of Wooster Ohio. I have been happily married to my wife
Diana for 6 years and we are proud parents of Charles Robert (age 4) and Caitlyn
Elizabeth (age 2). Not to forget Benson and Bosley, our abnormally large four
legged friends. It never ceases to amaze me how protective the dogs are of the
family and at the same time so gentile with the kids. Diana has been instrumental
to the formation of this collection. Many of the pieces in the collection were very
generous gifts from Francie King & Gary Mckee, Roger & Rita Dush, Robert & Elizabeth
Dush, and Ross & Pearl Churchward. My collection began with specimens from
cultures from all over the world. The collection did not have a focus, so I decided
to collect only Native American artifacts, especially those found near my home here
in Wayne County Ohio. Each piece was collected in Wayne County and has been
carefully documented in order to preserve its history for the future. I see my role
in assembling this collection as that of a caretaker rather than an owner. This
collection is not being assembled for personal financial gain, but to preserve the
early history of Wayne County Ohio. I am proud to be the fourth generation of a
family which has been interested in preserving the early history of our land and
especially Wayne County Ohio. My ever-growing collection is used to educate the
public in many ways throughout the year. UNLESS NOTED - ALL ARTIFACTS PICTURED WILL BE FROM WAYNE COUNTY OHIO.
